Palmetto Jujitsu Academy & Healing Arts Center has been teaching Jujitsu in Lexington, SC since 1995 and was established on January 12, 1995. The leadership team includes Professor Ryan, who is a 9th Dan and holds the title of Professor with the American Judo & Jujitsu Federation, Renshi Patrick, who is a 6th Dan, and Sensei Patrick Hedgepath Shihan. The stated primary objective of practicing Judo at this program is perfection of character. Palmetto Jujitsu Academy is a member of the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation, USA Judo, and the American Traditional Jujutsu Association.
