Trail Life USA offers Woodlands Trail for ages 5-10, Navigators for ages 11-13, and Adventurers for ages 14-17. The program includes weekly meetings and regular outdoor adventures. Boys also use the Standard to track and celebrate their journey, and they earn Trail Badges and Advancement Medallions.

The program is church-based, Christ-centered, and boy-focused. Local churches own and direct Troops, and community engagement and service are mentioned in the program description.
Trail Life USA is church-based, Christ-centered, and boy-focused. Local churches own and direct Troops. Youth membership is open to all boys at least 5 years old and less than 18 years of age. Adult leadership is male-centered. Adult members must subscribe to and abide by the Trail Life USA Statement of Christian Faith and Values as well as the Oath and Motto.
