Soccer Sprouts is a youth soccer skills program where kids play fun soccer games and work on Soccer FUNdamentals. Lesson plans include agility, teamwork, team building, leadership skills, and simple educational aspects of childhood learning, including basic educational concepts for the youngest players. The curriculum also focuses on honesty and communication during activities, and the program offers a night time skills program as part of its soccer training.
• Ages: 3–10 years old
• Schedule: 6 seasons every year, averaging 18 day care sessions per week and 4–6 hours of night time skill development
Soccer Sprouts began in the Spring of 2013 and played its first official season in September of that year. The program started exclusively as a day care soccer program, later adding a night time skills program for kids ages 3–8 and a program for 9 and 10 year old players in Winter of 2018. Soccer Sprouts offers youth programs for kids ages 3 to 10 and also offers birthday parties. The program is led by Becky Davis, Director, along with Coach Becky and her team of devoted youth coaches. The stated mission is: “At Soccer Sprouts, we believe children learn by playing. We strive to provide young children with a solid foundation to enjoy soccer for many years to come!” Soccer Sprouts is also seeking more people to play soccer with kids as an employment opportunity.
