About

The Gardner School Preschool Programs offer a premier preschool experience that includes preschool and daycare programs, a Kids’ Café, and an enrichment studio. The program uses a unique learning atmosphere that blends traditional and Montessori styles of learning. Classrooms are inviting and include large windows for natural light and accountability, and children have access to spacious indoor and outdoor playscapes.

• Ages: 6 weeks–5 years old

The Gardner School Preschool Programs support each child’s growth with intentional learning, trusted and caring teachers, meaningful peer connections and friendships, and calm, thoughtfully designed spaces. The programs are carefully designed to encourage each child’s growing need for independence and an emerging sense of self while nurturing intellectual growth, exploration, and socialization in a safe, supportive environment. The Gardner School has an open-door policy for parent check-ins, offers parent/teacher conferences twice a year, and uses a parent communications app so teachers can share photos and updates with parents in real time. A Curriculum Coordinator serves all classrooms, and teachers stay with the classroom for continuity and consistency.

Staff members are trained in CPR and first aid, pass state examinations, are screened properly, and receive ongoing training and professional development. Teachers are required to pass stringent background screenings and complete extensive and ongoing development and training. The environment includes two-tier levels of security. The Gardner School serves young children and their families in Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia.

The Gardner School states that it has created a rich learning environment that will stimulate children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. It states that each child is provided with experiences that enhance self-esteem during the adjusting, exploring, and growing stages of child development. The program describes its approach as nurturing each child’s learning experience at the proper pace to give a strong educational foundation for a bright future. It also states that structured play, child-directed activities, and curriculum-based lessons are used within its blend of traditional and Montessori styles of learning, and that an environment fostering creativity, exploration, and acceptance will stimulate and nurture children’s development. The Gardner School describes this enriched educational experience as providing a strong foundation for future success and a lifelong love of learning.

Parents describe The Gardner School as a place where teachers are “amazing” and “unbelievable,” and where their children are excited to go to school daily. Several parents note frequent communication, including daily updates and photos, and describe the facility as incredibly clean. Parents also mention feeling trust in the teachers, especially in the infant wing, and describe the school as creating a strong sense of community and becoming a “second family.” Multiple parents state that they recommend The Gardner School to others, including one who rated it “100/10” and another who called it “hands-down the best place you can send your child.”
