Studios are described as inviting and casual spaces to learn and celebrate all things culinary.

• Ages: 2½–17 years old

Flour Power Cooking Studios follows a mission to foster a lifelong love for cooking that will positively impact the physical, mental and social well-being of individuals. Its achievement-based cooking curriculum is designed for kids from 2½ to 17 years of age, with classes organized by age groups and skill categories. Studio locations can choose to offer classes individually, as Class Packs, or through a Membership with a predictable monthly flat rate that results in a discounted price for classes. The curriculum includes fresh new cooking themes, lessons, and recipes every month, and skills obtained in classes can be tracked, with participants having the chance to earn Power Pins for skills earned in class. Recipes can be accessed through parent portal resources. Core values include: Welcome everyone to the table; Encourage messes, but don’t leave them for others; Joyfully serve those who walk through the doors.

Flour Power Camp counts towards the Child and Dependent Care Credit. Birthday parties include an RSVP EVITE page, a personalized message, cupcakes decorated in two favorite colors, a choice of Pink Lemonade, Yellow Lemonade, or Apple Juice, cooking two preselected items, a Chef’s Hat and Lollipop for each child party guest, experienced instructors, setup and cleanup, the birthday song and candle blow out, and party favors available for purchase. Parents and caregivers are not counted as party attendees unless they are participating in the cooking, and there is an additional cost for each additional birthday party attendee starting with the 12th attendee. Studios host customized private events. Adult Sip & Stirs, corporate team building, and custom adult events allow guests to bring their own beer or wine, and food is allowed to leave the studio, both subject to local restrictions.

Children are asked to wear play clothes, closed toed shoes, and to keep long hair tied back. For camp, children need to bring just a water bottle. Guests who wish to tip staff are instructed to bring cash. Decorations for parties are limited to tabletop items or specialty balloons tied to the birthday child’s chair, and items may not be hung on the walls.

One parent described celebrating a child’s birthday at Flour Power as having effortless planning with an online document, followed by a phone call, with the party set up as discussed and kids having a hands-on cooking experience, and noted that families and kids still mention the time at Flour Power. Another parent reported that a child loved a chocolate factory summer camp week, noted that the child made a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack daily, and that recipes were provided at the end of the week. A family described a visit as a family bonding experience where they cooked meals together, found the place clean with equipment and materials provided, and mentioned learning cooking tips and tricks. One parent called Flour Power the best place to have a birthday party, describing an 8th birthday where everyone had fun and stating that the owners and employees were nice and handled everything so the family could just show up. A corporate guest described a team-building event as fantastic, with staff who were fun, energetic, and engaging from start to finish.
