Oak Hill Youth Sports Association has been serving the youth of southwest Austin and surrounding areas since 1967 and is one of the largest youth baseball and softball organizations in Austin, with more than 1,200 boys and girls playing on roughly 100 teams in a given year. In addition to developing athletic skills in players age 3 to 18, the organization states a commitment to imparting life lessons such as teamwork, preparedness, self-reliance, and accepting outcomes with grace. OHYSA operates as a fully volunteer organization and holds board meetings that are open to the membership, except for the Rules Change meeting held in November. Many youth remain active when not playing by participating in umpire, grounds crew, facilities upkeep, and concession worker programs and activities, and the organization notes an emphasis on reducing litter and providing recycling containers at the fields.

The leadership team includes a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and commissioners for multiple baseball and softball age groups, as well as roles for communications, events, sponsorship, fundraising, facilities, equipment, and training. The organization also notes an Annual Block Party, an open traffic pattern for drivers using a one-way entry and exit system, and the use of assessments to create balance across the leagues rather than to exclude participation. Spring registration includes Early Bird and Standard pricing with sibling discounts, a fundraiser with Baseballism using code OHYSA78709-26 that donates 25% of proceeds back to OHYSA, and stated refund policies that change once draft week begins and once the first game of the season is played.
