Oak Hill Youth Sports Association (OHYSA) offers youth baseball and softball, along with umpire, grounds crew, facilities upkeep, and concession worker programs and activities. The program is a recreational league where all registered players “make” a team, and in any given year about 1,300 or more boys and girls play on roughly 100 teams. Baseball age divisions include 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 18U; softball age divisions include 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U; and there is a WeeBall 4U division.

In 1963 the Oak Hill Optimist Club purchased a lot off of Highway 290 and built a house whose sale funded the purchase of what would become the 16 acre OHYSA complex, and by 1964 the first fields were being developed. In 1967, the complex opened and has been operating through Spring, Summer and Fall seasons since. OHYSA has been a vital and growing part of the Southwest Austin community since 1967, and each year thousands of players, parents, spectators and fans of baseball and softball visit the complex to play, manage, officiate, volunteer or watch games. OHYSA has a league-wide initiative to reduce litter and use recycling containers at the fields.
In addition to developing athletic skills in players age 3 to 18, OHYSA states that it is committed to imparting life lessons such as teamwork, preparedness, self-reliance, and accepting outcomes with grace. Board meetings are held at 6:30PM at the Front Office unless otherwise indicated and are open to the membership, with the exception of the Rules Change meeting held in November.
The OHYSA leadership team includes Traci Anderson (President and 18U Commissioner & Centex Representative), Greg Browne (Vice President), Vanessa Anchondo (Secretary), Jon Anderson (Treasurer), Adam Hermsdorfer (Communications), Allen Handy (Events), Kelly Latz (Sponsorship), Brad North (Fundraising), Brad Reichel (Facilities), Chris Meola (Equipment), and Matt Surina (Training). Baseball commissioners include Eric Barden (Baseball Commissioner and 10U Commissioner), Sean Healey (Weeball Commissioner), Chris Mrowka (6U Commissioner), David Smith (8U Commissioner), Gene Shrock (12U Commissioner), and Keegan Anderson (14U Commissioner). Softball commissioners include Sarah Artman (Softball Commissioner), Morgan Stokes (6U Commissioner, Softball), Nick Orr (8U Commissioner, Softball), Nick Ramos (10U Commissioner, Softball), Grady Collins (12U Commissioner, Softball), and John Boozer (14U Commissioner, Softball).
Drivers at the complex are required to keep to a 5mph speed limit, follow a one-way driving pattern, not come in the exit gate or exit through the entrance gate, and avoid parking with any part of their car blocking a paved or crushed rock roadway. The facility has a one-way driving pattern, a single entrance gate, a single exit gate, and 99% of the parking is internal.
