Mad Science of Austin & San Antonio offers summer camps for ages 3-12 with make-and-take science activities and physical activity each day. The camps have half-day and full-day options, with 5 days of activities and times of 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, 1:00 PM-4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM-4:00 PM. About the provider
Mad Science was founded in 1985 in Montreal, Canada. It is described as the leading science enrichment provider for children in pre-kindergarten through grade 5, with over 150 locations, over 20 countries, and over 30 years in business. Its mission is to inspire children through science, sparking lifelong imagination and curiosity.
The camps are not licensed by the State of Texas. The Texas Department of Health has exempted the camps from licensing because the activities do not include traditional camp activities such as horseback riding, archery, and swimming. Scholarships are available. The minimum number of campers necessary to hold a camp is 10.
