URJ Greene Family Camp offers sports, arts, a challenge course, a ropes course, and time at the lake and pools. Campers also take part in Havdalah, songs, and s’mores as part of the program experience. The camp states that GFC offers a fun, supportive environment where campers can explore, challenge themselves, and develop their passions.
URJ Greene Family Camp is part of the Union for Reform Judaism family of camps and youth programs. The camp’s facilities include hotel-style rooms and group cabins, all with heat and air conditioning, and many accommodations are recently renovated and have new mattresses. Program spaces include the Goldberg Performing Arts Center, the Samson Sports Complex, large recreation halls, an arts and crafts workshop, multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, sports and arts facilities, a lake and pools, and an outdoor chapel and band stand that overlooks the lake and Texas sunset. One testimonial describes a camper who loved their counselors, tried activities they might not have done otherwise, and is already excited about returning.
