Camp Longhorn offers more than 25 different activities, including blobs, water socs, a three story zip line into the water, pools, a lazy river, a surf park, water skiing, ropes courses, horseback riding, surfing, and campfire activities like roasting marshmallows and watching a movie on the giant outdoor screen. Campers also take part in events and theme days and nights such as the Longhorn Cup, dance night, movie night, campfire, carnival, and Church Mountain.
• Schedule: Inks Lake and Indian Springs offer two- and three-week terms, while C3 on Inks offers the same Camp Longhorn experience in one- and two-week terms.

Camp Longhorn was created in 1939 by Tex and Pat Robertson on Inks Lake in the Texas Hill Country, with Camp Longhorn Indian Springs opening in 1975 and a third branch, C3 on Inks Lake, opening in 2016. Once fondly called the “Ranch Branch,” Camp Longhorn Indian Springs is now home to more than 2,000 campers each summer, and all three branches are family run and share the same Camp Longhorn spirit and traditions. Older campers have access to leadership, team-building, and counselor training programs including Marine & Marina, Wrangler, Chief and Ranger programs.
The mission of Camp Longhorn is summed up in the phrase “Everybody is Somebody!” and the focus is on fun, not competition, and building campers’ confidence, with an emphasis on participation rather than competition across all three branches. With its “Attawaytogo” spirit, Camp Longhorn challenges kids to try different things, including blobs, trolleys, water skiing, and ropes courses.
Counselors at Camp Longhorn are chosen for their leadership, patience, sense of responsibility, and fun-loving spirit, with one counselor for every four campers. Junior counselors are selected from older campers and are trained under close supervision of senior counselors and camp directors. Campers and counselors sleep in open-air cabins, with twelve campers assigned to each cabin by school grade and two to four counselors living with each cabin group. The counseling staff eats, sleeps, leads activities, and lives in the cabins with their campers.
Camp Longhorn is a proud member of C.A.M.P. and is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The leadership team includes Inks Lake Boys Camp Director Roger Moore, Inks Lake Girls Camp Director Will Robertson, Indian Springs Boys Camp Director Mark Manning, Indian Springs Girls Camp Director Keri Manning Weaver, C3 Boys Camp Director David Bennett, and C3 Girls Camp Director Stacy Bennett.
