Republic Gymnastics & Dance offers gymnastics and dance programs in a state-of-the-art facility. The programs are described as supporting children’s physical and mental development through a wide range of gymnastics and dance options. Families have access to their Republic account through the SNAP Parent Portal for class schedules, make-up class scheduling, checking availability for other classes, signing up for extra events, updating family information, and updating or adjusting the credit card on the account.

Alicia and Kevin Kubeczka founded Republic Gymnastics & Dance in 2018, and Alicia serves as owner and operator while Kevin is an owner. Gym Facility Director Kristi Mattheessen has experience in the Montessori sector, gymnastics facilities, and real estate development. Artistic Director Christina Sefara is a native Houstonian with extensive training in multiple styles of dance, acrobatics, theater, and voice, has over 15 years of teaching experience, has led Republic Gymnastics & Dance artistically since 2018, teaches master classes throughout Houston, and judges dance competitions nationwide for Kids Artistic Revue, Rainbow National Talent, and Ultra Dance Competition. Christina’s choreographed pieces have earned numerous awards, national championships, and two Industry Dance Awards nominations.
Alicia grew up taking dance and gymnastics, became a competitive cheerleader, and cheered and won a National Championship in college at Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University). She began coaching gymnastics and cheer at 15, has over 20 years of experience managing gymnastics facilities, and has also worked in the oil and gas industry and the certification and audit industry. Kevin has over 30 years of land development and construction experience. Kristi initially worked as an office employee under Alicia’s management for several years and gained business knowledge through her work in real estate development.
The program’s stated mission is to create a safe and inclusive environment for children to grow, develop and achieve greatness. The business describes itself as fostering a positive, family-first work environment for employees and maintaining a close-knit, small business atmosphere with a strong sense of community and personal connection with clientele. A Snack Shop Gift Card is available for purchase for athletes to use at their convenience.
