Frontiers of Flight Museum Camps & Youth Programs take place within the museum’s exhibits that cover the history of flight from hot air balloons to spacecraft. Participants are able to experience a setting that includes over 35,000 rare and unique artifacts and access to exhibits supported by 70 docents who share their own experiences and diverse perspectives. The program also operates in a venue that offers Sensory-Friendly Days for visitors with sensory-friendly needs and their families.

• Schedule: Museum open Monday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday 1 pm to 5 pm

Frontiers of Flight Museum Camps & Youth Programs are part of an organization whose mission is to educate, motivate, and inspire all ages in North Texas by presenting aviation and space flight history and innovation through exhibits, collections, programming, and STEM curriculum. The museum is Texas’ Premier Air and Space Museum and is a Certified Sensory-Inclusive Venue. It is led by a team that includes President & CEO Abigail Erickson-Torres, Chief Operations Officer Michelle Ramirez, Chief Advancement Officer Cameron Hernholm, Director of Events Catalina Corona, Director of Education Rosalie Wade, Senior Manager of Education Programs Jessica Lattner, Aerospace-STEM Initiative Manager Edgar Pizarro, Guest Services Manager Elizabeth Meaders, Jetsetters Senior Manager Shirley Hidalgo-Martin, Senior Bookkeeper Sydney Ramirez, and Community Engagement Manager Cynthia Juarez. The museum benefits from community partnerships with educational institutions, industry partners, museums, nonprofits, tourism agencies, media, and community organizations, and it is a partner of the STEMM Opportunity Alliance. The museum’s history includes the donation of George Haddaway’s collection to The University of Texas in 1963, its move to The University of Texas at Dallas in the late 1970s, the establishment of the Frontiers of Flight Museum as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1988, the opening of space at Love Field’s main terminal mezzanine level in 1990, and the opening of the current facility in June 2004. A new exhibit on Bessie Coleman is scheduled from August 2025 to May 2026 and is free to all with admission.
