About

Offense-Defense Football Camps offers instructional football camps, summer football camps, a Summer Showcase, and player development clinics that include both non-contact and full-contact curriculum. Camp activities include Standard Athletic Testing (S.A.T.), games during each session, and the chance to play in up to 3 games a day in the summer, as rules permit. Players receive evaluations and rankings by coaching staff and regional scouts, along with recruiting education on the recruiting process.

• Schedule: Camp dates and locations can change without notice; once changes are made to a facility location or date, a camper has 30 days to either confirm or cancel.

Offense-Defense Football Camps uses NFL players and coaches, and college coaches as part of its coaching staff. The program’s philosophy focuses on teaching technique, not tactics, and includes instruction on stamina, speed, and agility. Standard Athletic Testing (S.A.T.) evaluates player measurables, and coaches rank and evaluate abilities using a star system, with athletes ranked locally and nationally by position and age group. Campers receive free online access to an O-D personal, Placement, Recruiting, and Exposure (PREview) profile, and showcase locations are available nationwide with commuter and overnight options. Programs are available for all levels of play, from first-time players to top recruiting prospects, and the camps are used to evaluate the best high school athletes for inclusion in the end-of-year Offense-Defense All-American Bowl Week, a week-long series of football-related activities and events that includes the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl, Youth All-American Bowl Games, awards dinners, press conferences, the ODFL National tournament, a youth football convention, and a coaches clinic.

Offense-Defense Sports started with one instructional football camp in the summer of 1969 and has been working with youth and high school athletes for over five decades. Mike Shanahan began his career coaching at Offense-Defense, and other high-profile NFL coaches who have spent time within the O-D ranks include Mike Holmgren and Steve Mariucci. Over 600 Offense-Defense alumni from camps and Bowl events have gone on to the NFL, 28 of 32 NFL teams have active O-D alumni, and O-D reports having the largest number of FBS Division 1 signees. Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson were MVPs of the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl, and the organization reports that hundreds of former O-D campers are in the NFL. The mission statement for Offense-Defense Football Camps states that the mission is to deliver football training and instruction at full contact and full speed, and that the love of Jesus compels the organization to serve others, with a belief that everyone has been created on purpose and for a purpose and that competing according to the word of God, by the power of God, and for the glory of God can close the gap between performance and potential.
