About

KidStrong is a science-based kids training program that includes weekly classes with fun activities that promote balance, coordination, strength, and agility. Each week, kids join a 45-minute class that features science-based fitness games along with puzzles, games, and mental challenges. The program also offers KidStrong Camp in addition to its weekly classes.

• Ages: 0–11 years old
• Schedule: Weekly 45-minute classes

KidStrong is guided by a group of experts, child development scientists, and coaches, and all coaches are certified, professional, specially trained, and described as compassionate leaders. Programming is specially designed by child development experts and is based on the Whole Child Philosophy with three pillars: Strong Character, Strong Body, and Strong Mind. KidStrong describes itself as a parent-focused program and as the only kids’ program that is parent-focused, and classes are reserved for KidStrong members only. KidStrong was founded in 2015 and has more than 160 locations serving more than 65,000 kids per week, and it celebrated its 100th center opening with franchisee Barb Volk in Plantation, Florida. The leadership team includes founders Matt Sharp and Megin Sharp, partner Lincoln Brown, Preschool & Kindergarten Director Patti Eubanks, Doctor of Physical Therapy Patrick Ford, and Dr. Julie Foucher, MD, Family Physician and 4x CrossFit Games Competitor, along with franchisee Barb Volk. KidStrong states that it does not provide medical services, does not accept insurance, and cannot guarantee that a child will learn how to fly.

Parents have shared that their children attend once a week and have described changes such as a daughter’s confidence “skyrocketing,” a previously shy and anxious son becoming more confident, and a child with speech delay being motivated by the environment to put effort into learning words and daily tasks like cooking and cleaning.
