Children's Lighthouse Forney is family-owned and operated, and each Children's Lighthouse school is independently owned and operated. The program includes a Before and After School Program, secure keypad entry, and age-appropriate playgrounds. Children's Lighthouse schools are overseen by the Children's Lighthouse Franchise Company system, which is accredited by Cognia, and each school is encouraged to become accredited by Cognia.

Children's Lighthouse launched in 1997 when brothers Mike and Pat Brown opened the first Children's Lighthouse school, and the system has been in operation for more than twenty-five years. The Lighthouse Pathways approach to learning incorporates years of experience and research to support families as they begin their educational journey and beyond. The mission of Children's Lighthouse is: "We Create a Safe, Fun, and Happy Place That Gives Your Child Confidence, a Sense of Comfort Today, and a Lifelong Love of Learning, Friendship, and Community."

The Director of Education and Training, Dr. Kristi Smith, understands the importance of partnering with families to provide educational materials that will lay the groundwork for lifelong academic success. One parent, Salina B. from Dallas, TX, states that the curriculum encourages exploration, good communication skills, and fun-filled learning activities from infancy. Another parent, Natasha S. from Los Angeles, CA, reports that the facility and staff at Children's Lighthouse met their expectations after visiting several child care centers. Rebecca I. from Dallas, TX, notes that, as a former professional nanny, she found that the teachers work with each child patiently and make them feel cared for. Bardha R. from Houston, TX, shares that this was the first childcare learning school her children attended and that her children enjoy their teachers, food, games, and learning times.
