Club SciKidz offers summer camps, after school STEM programs, science assemblies, in-school field trips, science birthday parties, scouting badge workshops, home school sessions, Cyber Patriots, and after-school science clubs. Camp themes and activities include Digital Art & Animation, ESports Minecraft Academy (11-13), K-POP Demon Hunters Summer Camp, Little Zoologist, Drone Piloting, 3D Design & Printing Workshop (11-13), Mobile Apps Mavericks (11-13), Robotics: LEGO® & VEX BattleBots Unleashed! (11-13), Junior AI and Chat Bots, Adventures in Minecraft, Emergency Vet, and Engineering & Robotics Camps. Club SciKidz was established in 1997, originally operating under the name Summer Science Day Camps, Inc. Beginning in 2001, the business created Camp Young Scientist, and in 2007 it established its franchise program. Since 1997, more than 150,000 children have attended one or more of Club SciKidz' science day camps or school programs. The program now offers more than 60–70 themed science summer camps for kids in grades PK–8th, with programs designed to meet the needs of children ages 4–15, and 30 weeks of inquiry-based after-school science club experiences. Club SciKidz operates a franchise program in Georgia, Maryland, Texas, and Virginia, with multiple locations nationwide.
Owners Bob and Sue Hagan lead the program, and Club SciKidz co-founder Bob Hagan is the author of “The Everyday Science Teacher.” Bob and Sue Hagan have a combined 30 plus years of teaching experience and both hold a Master’s Degree in Education. Each unit is rigorously researched by science educators with the help of teachers and children.
Club SciKidz states that it was founded on the principle that parents want to provide their children with exciting, challenging, and life impacting academic enrichment experiences. The company is committed to demonstrating how science works in the real world by providing activities in veterinary medicine, robotics, forensics, video game creation, food science, paleontology, engineering, chemistry and biology, astronomy, saving our oceans, emergency medicine, and special effects.
