Friona Swimming Pool offers open swim, swimming lessons, pool rentals, pool parties, and water aerobics during the summer season. The swimming pool provides swimming lessons for kids 3 and up, with classes held in 1-hour sessions over a 2-week period. Pool rentals and pool parties are available for booking, and Pool Splash Passes are available for purchase.

• Schedule: Open swim Tuesday–Saturday from 1–4pm; swimming lessons in 1-hour classes over 2 weeks with multiple June and July sessions; pool rentals available on select evenings and Sundays; water aerobics on Tuesday and Thursday late afternoons
• Price: Open Swim: 3 years & under free; 4–11 years $3.00; 12 years & older $4.00. Swimming Lessons: $50 (4 sessions), $100 (8 sessions) per child. Pool Parties: $100 for 1 hour, $150 for 2 hours. Pool Splash Passes: Family Splash Pass $300 per household; Individual Splash Pass $100 for children and $200 for adults; 30-Day Splash Pass $65 for children and $85 for adults; 5-Day Splash Pass $10 for children and $15 for adults.

The pool opens for the season on June 7, 2025. Swimming lesson sessions run Tuesday–Friday, with the first session on June 10–14 and June 24–28, and the second session on July 8–12 and July 22–26, with all classes held from 9–11am. Pool rentals are available on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 6–10pm, on Tuesday and Thursday from 7–10pm, and on Sunday from 2–8pm. Water aerobics runs from 4:30–6:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting the week of the 16th.

The city pool is open for the public’s use and is described as a fun place for kids of all ages as well as adults to swim during the summer. The leadership team includes Pool Assistant Manager JJ Trevino, Pool Manager Malachi Torres, Pool Cashiers Leslie Ortiz and Kayden Rejino, and the 2025 Lifeguard Team of Abasai Torres, Stephanie Cruz, Kitzy Welch, William Husted, Eden Mills, Reese Steelman, and Amberly Madrid. The City of Friona states its mission as “To bring people, partnerships and possibilities together for a stronger community.” The City of Friona also operates other municipal services and has launched the Keep Friona Clean Campaign focused on waste management, sustainability, code compliance, and street and traffic sign restoration.
