Play Frisco Camps offers a variety of activities that include artistic play, imaginative play, physical challenges, team-building exercises, and STEM-based exploration. Campers play games, complete puzzles, make crafts, go swimming, and take part in sports such as basketball, soccer, track and field, and flag football. Some sessions focus on art topics like animation and fine arts.

• Schedule: Day camps Monday through Friday during the summer
Play Frisco Camps offers Play Days as single-day camps on FISD holidays throughout the year. Important details such as curriculum guidelines, field trip schedules with bus departure and arrival times, required attire, and other camp updates are sent by email along with the Camp Play Frisco Handbook and parent authorization forms two weeks before each camp week. The program uses a curriculum that rotates regularly, is tailored to the specific facility, and is reviewed weekly to allow for adjustments based on camper needs. Sports camps include multiple sports and focus on physical skills, self-confidence, and teamwork, while art camps are STEAM-focused and cover areas from animation to fine arts. Play Frisco partners with local art groups, schools, and individuals to offer STEAM camps, and Camp Play Frisco is regulated by the City of Frisco under municipal exemptions in accordance with 40 TAC §745.115 (3). The Play Fund is a need-based grant program for recreation programs. The leadership team includes Lidia Acuna, Programming and Youth Services Coordinator; Makenna Fimbel, Programming and Youth Services Supervisor; and Paige Points, Frisco Discovery Center Supervisor. The program’s mission states that it provides creative and athletic experiences, adapts plans to create the best possible experience for all participants, and is based on the belief that play is essential for all ages and abilities.
