All PGA Junior Golf Camps are taught and directed by PGA of America Professionals. Every junior golf Camp Director has been trained and tested in all aspects of the game by the PGA of America and has been certified in junior-specific instruction, techniques, and strategies. The program describes itself as a golf enrichment program designed exclusively for the development of the junior golfer and welcomes boys and girls of all athletic abilities, golf experience, and competitive desire. The camps use the PGA Camp’s Skill Progression Cycle, a patented system that builds upon the previous days’ teachings. The program states that each child enrolled in the camps is warmly and sincerely welcomed.
The mission of PGA Junior Golf Camps is to share a passion for golf with youths across the country, with a stated promise to support, encourage, and respect each camper and to authentically inspire them to reach their full potential on and off the golf course. The program notes that its certified PGA of America golf professionals provide a supportive and safe environment for children to improve their golf game, and that each camp has been designed with the child’s well-being in mind. The camps emphasize fun and principled skill development, teach golf’s traditions and techniques in a way that lets kids be kids, and create a fun and educational reason to go outside and play. The program offers instruction camps that include half-day, full-day, or competitive camps, with nearly 180 camp locations in almost 40 states.
PGA Junior Golf Camps lists PGA of America Professionals and Certified PGA of America Professionals as its credentials. The program offers rental equipment for a specified price, allowing participants to rent necessary equipment required for participation. It also notes that a Non-Resident Fee and a Non-Member Fee can be added in some cases, and that installment payment options are available. Scholarships are available for kids who are financially unable to attend sports programs, and the program highlights involvement with Brandon's Goal, which creates awareness and raises money to support institutions, doctors, and organizations working to seek better treatments for childhood cancer and to find a cure.
