Galveston Children’s Museum Camps offer themed weeks such as Ocean Discoveries, Stitch Lab (Sewing and Design), Cooking Craze, Sensory Scientists, YouTube Creator Camp / Jr. Movie Makers, Gulf Coast Explorers, Robotic Inventors, Storytellers Studio, Art, Tools, and Tinkering, Roblox Designer / Jr. Gamemakers, and Fun Fridays. Additional camps for special needs students include Blast Off! Voyage to the Moon & Beyond!, Ocean Discoveries, Music and Movement, and Wild About Art.
• Ages: 2–12 years old
• Schedule: Summer 2026 camps run in four-day sessions from June 1–4, June 8–11, June 15–18, June 22–25, June 29–July 2, July 6–9, July 13–16, July 20–23, July 27–30, and August 3–6, with special needs camps offered July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, and July 27–31
Since 2013, Galveston Children’s Museum has welcomed hundreds of children to hands-on exhibits and programs that support brain development and social growth. Many of the camp programs are led by certified educators and trained teachers, and the organization describes its environment as safe, stimulating, and staffed by experts. The museum’s mission statement is “Where play powers learning—and curiosity leads the way,” and its camps are supported by local sponsors. Parents describe the museum as having areas such as a tinkering space, outdoor play with water and big building blocks, an art area, and a bearded dragon, and note that children across a range of ages have enjoyed their experiences there.
