Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center

Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center welcomes children, students, adults, volunteers, and their families from across the nation to experience God in fun-filled adventures. In the summer, Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center hosts over 2,000 children who come from all over Texas. In the fall and spring, it serves as a retreat center for churches and groups as a place to get away from distractions and focus on their relationship with God.

Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center has been a ministry of the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1939 and is an extension ministry of the Horizon Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. Lakeview Camp in Glen Rose was purchased by the Central Texas Conference in November of 1939 and re-named Glen Lake Camp in February of 1940. The mission of Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, and it strives to create a Christian environment where authentic relationships are formed. Employees are all Ministry Safe Certified. Glen Lake Camp is a Christian retreat center and a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association. The campus offers privacy and a view from the highest point of the property and serves over 16,000 people a year through retreats and summer camps.
