House of Shine is a nonprofit self-discovery museum that offers museum exhibits, K–12 curriculum, self-discovery workshops, field trips, and volunteer opportunities on weekdays and Saturdays. The museum uses experiential curriculum and personal and community-building programs to help people of many ages explore their strengths, hobbies, interests and irritants, needs, and experiences. It is described as an interactive museum of self-discovery and a community gathering space where leaders come to grow, and its corporate color is yellow.
• Schedule: June–August: Tuesday–Thursday 10 AM–4 PM, Friday–Saturday 9 AM–3 PM; September–May: Tuesday–Thursday noon–5 PM, Friday–Saturday 9 AM–3 PM; closed Sundays and Mondays year-round.
House of Shine is a leadership development nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen communities by growing confident, self-aware, and resilient leaders with a deep understanding of themselves and why their contributions to the world matter. House of Shine started with a blog post in 2008 and has operated as a nonprofit museum of self-discovery in Historic Downtown Grapevine since 2020. The founder is Dr. Claudia K. Beeny, and the organization has reached the GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency. House of Shine originally shared its self-awareness programs through partner organizations such as schools and the Boys & Girls Clubs. One donor stated, “I give to House of Shine because of what they have given to me. House of Shine has shown me how to identify the best in myself…”
