About
Helena's Early Learning Playhouse offers intentional play and exciting activities that include art, songs, stories, games, and themed days. The program uses curriculum units that last several weeks and focuses on developmentally appropriate activities for each age group. Families can view a tour video of the program and can also see pictures and videos on the program’s Facebook page.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–5:30pm (with individually contracted hours for each family)
Helena's Early Learning Playhouse is a licensed home through the Texas Health Human Services Commission and holds a 4 Star credential and accepts CCS. The program lists a low caregiver-to-child ratio and describes a safe and cozy space where children can play, learn, and grow with loving guidance. The stated mission is to support emotional, social, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development through joyful learning, intentional play, exciting activities, and everyday experiences. The leadership team includes licensed home provider Helena Hortman, her daughter Briana as an assistant, her husband Kevin as a team member, and Christina as the first full-time employee. Current availability includes one full-time slot and several part-time slots for children ages 1–5 years. Health and safety practices include daily washing, sanitizing, and/or disinfecting of toys and surfaces, increased cleaning during symptoms like runny nose or cough, consistent handwashing, and prompt clothing changes if bodily fluid comes into contact. Families are asked to complete a Prospective Child form on the Enrollment tab to be considered for an interview or the waitlist.
