Kids Harbor Learning Center
Kids Harbor Learning Center, 6000 Terrell Street, Groves, TX 77619
About
Kids Harbor Learning Center offers an Early Start on Education program along with programs for infants, toddlers, preschool, before and after school, and summer camp. Each teacher creates age-appropriate active learning experiences that include character building, physical activity, and social and emotional development. Handbooks are distributed to families upon enrollment and whenever updates occur.
The leadership team includes Vanessa Lee as a School Year Babysitter, Henry Jones as a School Year Babysitter, and Jessica Lewis as a Before School Babysitter. The stated mission of Kids Harbor Learning Center is “Providing quality childcare that will develop children’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative growth.” Parent notifications are conducted by postings via Remind 101, email, and online.
Before accessing the building, visitors are screened each day by survey and temperature check, and entry is denied if a visitor is not wearing a mask throughout the visit, has a temperature of 100.4°F or above, shows signs or symptoms of respiratory infection, or has certain recent COVID-19 contact or international travel. A medical emergency form is mandatory for each child, including shot record, any allergies, the child’s doctor and hospital to be used in an emergency, emergency phone numbers, and someone other than the parent as an emergency contact. Shot records must be up to date, signed by a physician, and updated copies must be provided any time the child receives shots, and a physician’s signature is required stating that the child is physically able to participate in the Center’s program. Kids Harbor has the right to refuse enrollment or drop any child from enrollment that is not current on immunizations. Anytime a child is brought to a doctor or clinic for any type of illness, a signed release stating that the child can return to the Center is required for the child to return.
Health checks are conducted daily for communicable diseases common to children. The Center has a no nit policy for head lice, and children cannot return until all nits are removed.
