Central Texas Martial Arts offers martial arts classes that include Karate, self-defense, and kids self-defense. The program also offers an after school program and a summer camp that includes real karate training through the Bainton Bujutsu system. Students train in the Bainton Bujutsu karate system with a focus on practical self-defense and real karate training through this system.

• Schedule: Class options Monday–Saturday during afternoon and morning hours (Mon–Fri 4:00 PM–8:00 PM; Sat 9:00 AM–12:00 PM)

Central Texas Martial Arts offers programs for children, teens, and adults, with no experience needed and all ages welcome. Central Texas Martial Arts has been serving Waco and Hewitt families since 2007, with 15+ years in Hewitt, Texas. The Bainton Bujutsu system has been developed over 42 years. The mission of Central Texas Martial Arts is to empower individuals of all ages through Bainton Bujutsu, a proven practical self-defense system developed over 42 years and designed for real-life situations, not sport competition. Its karate programs build confidence, discipline, and genuine self-defense skills for kids, teens, and adults across Hewitt, Waco, and surrounding communities. Expert instruction focuses on self defense, strong character, and community involvement, and students gain confidence and resilience both on and off the mat.

The leadership team includes Founder Master Scott Bainton and instructors Master Tyler Simonek, Master Simon Peter Bar Jona, Master Zachary Lange, Sensei Truett Teague, Sensei Cooper Cherry, Sensei John David Moran, Sensei Zoey Canuteson, and Sensei Hadyn Charles. Master Scott Bainton has over 42 years of martial arts experience, has trained in Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, Kuk Sool Won, and Kung Jung Mu Sul, holds a 7th Degree Black Belt in Ba Ki Do and Bainton Bujutsu, and graduated as Valedictorian from Hawaii Pacific University. Master Tyler Simonek has trained and taught since 2007, is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu and a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Ba Ki Do, and holds cross-disciplinary grappling training. Master Simon Peter Bar Jona has trained since 2011 and joined staff in 2012, is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Ba Ki Do, and teaches in Waco ISD. Master Zachary Lange began training in 2009, is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu and a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Ba Ki Do, and holds cross-disciplinary grappling training. Sensei Truett Teague has trained since 2008, holds a Black Belt in Bujutsu, and continues cross-disciplinary grappling training. Sensei Cooper Cherry has trained since 2011 and taught since 2017, holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu and cross-disciplinary grappling training. Sensei John David Moran has trained since 2012 and taught since 2018, holds a 1st Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu and cross-disciplinary grappling training. Sensei Zoey Canuteson has trained since 2015 and taught since 2021, and holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu. Sensei Hadyn Charles began training in 2013 and started teaching in 2021, and holds a 1st Degree Black Belt in Bujutsu.

Master Scott Bainton was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2018.
