Kidventure Camps offers a wide range of activities, including Sensory Arts, Story Time, Music & Movement, Water Play, Team Games, STEM Projects, Sports & Recreation, Creative Arts, Leadership Training, Adventure Challenges, Service Projects, and Peer Mentoring. Campers take part in sports, art projects, daily awards and challenges, special snack activities, water days, slime science, dodgeball, talent shows, scavenger hunts, outdoor games, creative projects, creativity centers, process art, STEAM activities, Gaga Ball, rock climbing, team building, field trips, and silent disco dance parties. The camp provides lunch and a light snack during the day and offers easy pickup and drop-off for families.

• Schedule: Summer camp runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with drop-off at 8:00 or 9:00 and pickup at 3:30 or 6:00; Spring Fest camp runs March 9–13, 2026, and March 16–20, 2026.
Kidventure Camps includes different daily structures for its Discoverers, Explorers, and LEADS programs, with scheduled times for arrival and opening ceremony, activity blocks, outdoor exploration, lunch, arts or leadership blocks, and closing ceremony. Programs for ages 3–5 are offered through the Discoverers program, grades 1–5 through the Explorers program, and grades 6–9 through the LEADS program, with overnight camps in the Texas Hill Country for ages 8–16 and a Spring Fest Spring Break camp. The camp follows weekly themes with a focused curriculum and includes program components such as culture, community awareness, and character building, with no screen time and a maximum camper-to-staff ratio of 8:1.
Kidventure Camps began in 1994 as an outgrowth of a summer program at Biron Gymnastics in West Houston and has been in operation for over 30 years. It has been trusted by over 80,000 families, serves more than 10,000 families yearly, and currently serves a record number of families at over 31 locations, including 15 area locations in Houston. The organization reports a 4.9/5 average parent rating and notes that 85% of families return year after year. Kidventure Camps is licensed and accredited by the American Camp Association, is certified by the American Camp Association, and uses secure check-in and check-out procedures, allergy management protocols, emergency communication plans, shaded outdoor areas, and hydration stations.
Each counselor at Kidventure Camps must complete specific certifications, background checks, and training, and all staff are certified in CPR, First Aid, and emergency response protocols. The leadership team includes Founder and President Mike McDonell. The stated mission of Kidventure Camps is to help build kids’ lives, provide for their mental, physical, and social well-being, and create a place where confidence and hope thrive, guided by “The Kidventure Way,” which emphasizes being a shining light for others and leading with integrity, kindness, and courage.
Kidventure Camps also operates After School Programs in the Houston area and offers flexible scheduling options with no pressure and no commitment, along with overnight and seasonal camps, including Safari Overnight Camps in the Hill Country. In 2022, Kidventure established the non-profit “Ollie’s Kids,” through which it operates Camp Rainbow Days for children experiencing homelessness.
