Milky Way Summer Camp

Milky Way Summer Camp is a six-week camp with six one-week sessions. Campers are grouped by age and spend each week with their assigned cohort. The camp includes two field trips per week, with trips listed to Hurricane Harbor Splashtown, Houston Museum of Natural Science, The Houston Zoo, Urban Air, Main Event, and special animal programs.

About the provider

The camp is hosted by the Jersey Village Parks and Recreation Department for kids in Jersey Village and the surrounding area. Rebecca Franco is the Camp Manager, and Isaac Recinos is the Parks & Recreation Manager. Rebecca Franco is a National Camp Accreditation Camp Director and Youth Protection Training Facilitator, and Isaac Recinos holds certifications as a CPRP, AFO, CPSI, and LGI.

Campers are grouped by age and spend each week with their assigned cohort. Registration dates: JV Residents opens February 3rd at 5:00 AM; Non-Residents opens February 17 at 5:00 AM. Weekly camp cost: $250/week for residents, $300/week for nonresidents; holiday weeks $200/$250; full 6-week discounted rate $1,300/$1,600; sibling discount $50 off per week. Extended care options include early drop-off and late pick-up.
