For over 25 years, LCRA Parks has offered summer camps for youth across the Colorado River basin and now serves almost 1,000 campers each year. Since 1934, the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has had a mission to enhance the lives of Texans through water stewardship, energy and community service by providing recreational spaces to help get more people outdoors. LCRA Parks offers summer camp at three different locations and plans to open registration in January 2026. Each week, campers explore new outdoor themes, and an optional shuttle service is available from the Marble Falls area for Nightengale Archaeological Center. The park system includes 11,000 acres and over 40 parks, ranging from expansive forested parks in the rolling Hill Country to the Western Gulf Coastal Plains across 10 counties, and families can sponsor a child to attend camp.
