The Kumon Method starts by filling in learning gaps, and students advance step by logical step in about 30 minutes per day, per subject. According to the program’s stated mission, the Kumon Method aims to foster sound, capable individuals who can succeed in achieving their goals in life. The program states that Kumon Students improve study skills, reduce homework anxiety and master math and reading concepts, and that many students often study two or even three years above grade level.
