The Dance Academy offers a free trial class for dancers of all ages. Its classes include Dance Team and Teen Classes for middle school and high school dancers, Turns and Leaps for ages 11-18, Intermediate Contemporary for ages 11+, Advanced Contemporary for ages 12+, Dance Team Technique, Int/Adv Fusion, Teen Ballet, Teen Jazz, Teen Tap, Academy Ballet, and Intro to Ballet.
Programs
- Dance Team and Teen Classes — middle school and high school dancers · Designed specifically for middle school and high school dancers on school dance teams.
- Turns and Leaps — 11-18 · Non-recital class.
- Intermediate Contemporary — 11+
- Advanced Contemporary — 12+
- Dance Team Technique — Non-recital class. For advanced dancers on a dance team with at least one year of experience on their team.
- Int/Adv Fusion
- Teen Ballet — Beginner to intermediate ballet class designed specifically for older students.
- Teen Jazz — Intermediate level jazz class for older students.
- Teen Tap — Text is truncated after 'Perfect for older dancers'.
- Academy Ballet — Pre-K through pre-professional levels · Comprehensive, written pre-professional ballet curriculum.
- Intro to Ballet — students entering or in Kindergarten during the current school year · For young dancers who have never taken a ballet class or are ready to move on from preschool level classes.

About the provider
The Dance Academy is led by Maria Sorensen, Studio Owner and Company Director, and Megan Dolan, Assistant Company Director. Its mission is to inspire dancers ages 5-18 to achieve excellence on the competitive stage while growing in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. The program includes four local dance competitions each season, various community performances and outreach, a professional photo shoot and on-location video, a featured Spring Showcase, and team building and social events.
