About

A Place For Kids Christian Learning Center offers a Christian program that covers the basics of the Bible and is non-denominational. Children take part in activities that introduce them to prayers, Christian values, Christian songs, biblical verses, and songs, including meal time prayers. The program also includes monthly field trips, summer camps, an outdoor play area, after school homework assistance, and monthly story and music time, with an emphasis that reading starts early.

• Ages: 1–12 years old

A Place For Kids Christian Learning Center has been established since 1995 and serves children from 12 months to 12 years old. The center uses NISD curriculum, provides classrooms, daily progress reports, nutritional meals, monthly newsletters, and encourages parent participation. The daycare center has an open door policy, and parents are welcome to visit and observe groups at any time, with observers expected to respect the children and their schedule. The program includes weekly meetings with the pastor for prayer and devotion, and families are encouraged to come worship on Sundays at 11:00 a.m.

The staff at A Place For Kids Christian Learning Center are described as certified, skilled professional staff. The center states that it maintains a level of excellence that keeps its ranking among the top centers in San Antonio and that its Christian values are carried over in everyday practices with meal time prayers, biblical verses, and songs. A Place For Kids received recognition as KENS5’s choice and was ranked among the top 3 for the best record between the years of 2009 to 2011, and KENS5 featured only A Place For Kids in their story.

One parent, Julie B., shared that her son has attended since just over a year old and, by almost age 4, was potty trained before 18 months, writing his name, spelling short words, memorizing Bible verses, and described as very well mannered, noting that many things started at home and were reinforced at the center. The center also shares that parents are welcome and encouraged to visit, and that if volunteers are needed for special events, parents receive a form to sign up, with additional involvement arranged through the director.
