Children’s Universe Preschools offers infant and toddler learning experiences that focus on prime areas for children, a preschool program that introduces social skills, language, and basic math concepts, and a pre-K program that includes reading, writing, math, and problem solving based on TEKS. The program also includes a school-age before-and-after-school care program, supervised free play, extracurricular activities provided by outside professional coaches and instructors, summer camp with field trips and in-house events, and bus transportation to field trips and for school-age children.

Children’s Universe Preschools is family-owned and operates two private preschools with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The program uses teacher-directed instruction in a stimulating environment for children to learn, play, and explore, and welcomes parent communication and participation. Classrooms and toys are cleaned and sanitized daily, each child has separate, clean storage for personal belongings, and the schools are professionally sanitized by Dis.In.FX using pathogen elimination, extended surface cleanliness treatments, and targeted hygiene improvement focusing on high-touch areas and critical points. The facilities include secured classrooms requiring passwords, child-sized handwashing facilities, separate children’s restrooms, and large separate playgrounds designed specifically for infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age children. Closed-circuit cameras are continuously monitored by staff, and school buses are equipped with alarms to ensure no child is left behind and with seatbelts.
Teachers are described as very caring and well-trained in early childhood education, with some holding Early Childhood Development Accreditations (CDAs). Staff are trained in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid, and background checks are completed on all staff. The owners are Jim and Kathy Smith. The mission of Children’s Universe Preschools of Lake Conroe and Magnolia is to provide for the overall well-being of the children within their care in terms of safety, health, early childhood development, and education, within a loving and nurturing environment.
Children’s Universe Preschools serves well-balanced and healthy meals prepared by an onsite chef and follows protocols to protect children with food allergies.
