About
Camp Anothen gives campers the chance to fish for bass and channel catfish, practice archery, and go kayaking. Campers can also swim in ponds and may catch a frog during their time at camp. The program takes place on a 22-acre campus that includes woods, gullies, and ponds.
• Ages: 3–15 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm
Camp Anothen states a mission to create an authentic summer camp environment, disciple a Christ-following staff, introduce Jesus to campers, and be a resource to the community. The program describes itself as a Christian community and Christian ministry, with a camp environment where campers develop life-long friendships in a Christ-like community where they belong and learn more about Jesus and the Gospel. Camp Anothen also offers a Leaders In Training (LIT) Program, a Leadership Program, and the Anothen Outdoor Academy, and describes itself as a place where teens can belong to something bigger than themselves while contributing to a team effort.
