Sherwood Forest Summer Camp is a medieval sleep-away camp where campers take part in activities such as blacksmithing, swordplay, archery, leather working, chivalry, theater, horse riding, axe throwing, and historical games. The program also includes experiences such as jousting knights, castle siege, faerie invasion, fire spinning, and magic.
• Ages: 8–16 years old
• Schedule: Four week-long sessions in June–July and four 1-week sessions in July; sessions are 1 week each
• Price: Campers can sign-up for multiple weeks (discounts apply).
Sherwood Forest Summer Camp was founded in 2012. SFSC has between 140–160 campers aged 8–16 per week for 4 weeks. The Mission of Sherwood Forest Summer Camp is to deliver a week of such profoundly positive experience to campers that they will fondly recall the memories for the rest of their lives. SFSC is fully licensed with the State of Texas. The organization also offers a medieval grown-up camp, a 3-day weekend where participants sleep in a castle and learn swordplay, archery, blacksmithing, and leather working. Families are also invited to visit Sherwood Forest Faire on weekends in March and April.
