About
Skylark Camps offers summer camp sessions that families can enroll in for the full summer, half the summer, or by individual weeks. The program brings the fun of summer camp into neighborhood settings and keeps campers with the same program all summer long if families choose that option. Skylark Camps operates with a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio and offers early and after care.
• Schedule: Full summer option with 11 weeks of camp and care, a half-summer option where families pick 6 weeks, or a by-the-week option where families choose any week of camp
• Price: Full summer (11 weeks of camp & care): $2750 (typically $3,575); Half summer (pick 6 weeks): $1500 (typically $1,950); By the week (choose any week of camp): $250 (typically $325)
Skylark Camps has been in operation since 2019 and has hosted 176 weeks of camp. The organization reports having served more than 13,500 campers and employed 348 summer staff members. Skylark Camps lists its mission as partnering with local churches to rethink camp as a childcare option of irresistible value and states that it exists to give every child a hero, described as a role model who intentionally invests in their life at a young age. Skylark Camps partners with local churches and has three locations in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The leadership team includes Founder Stan Dobbs, Vice President of Operations Sarah Craft, Vice President of Growth Kyle Scott, Director of Operations Elliott Dobbs, and Director of Communications Ryan Dunleavy. Skylark Camps holds DSHS licensure and has been named a 2025 DFW Child favorite.
Parent testimonials describe the camp staff as kind, upbeat, professional, energetic, and engaging, and several parents mention counselors who invest in kids and are “tons of fun.” Multiple parents report that their children loved the camp, made new friends, and wanted to add extra weeks. Other parents highlight detailed and intentional engagement from the program and counselors, appreciation for the camp’s dedication to safety, and a program that “feels like camp, not childcare.”
