About

Dance Dimensions offers year-round dance classes that include Mommy & Me, Mini Movement, Tap/Ballet Combo, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Pom, Hip Hop, and Technique. The program also offers Summer Dance Classes and Camps, including June Summer Classes, a July Summer Camp, Princess Camp, and Boys Hip-Hop sessions.

Dance Dimensions has been serving East Texas communities since 1995 and opened in June of 1995. The program offers a free class so prospective students can meet the staff and try the studio with no obligation, and it offers free registration for new students as an option. The mission statement for Dance Dimensions focuses on giving children the gift of dance, building character and strong bodies with a skill that can last a lifetime, growing confidence, and noting that physical activity has been proven to be great for improving academics.

Owner, Director, Teacher, and Choreographer Koni Riley opened Dance Dimensions in June 1995 after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a specialization in Mathematics, and a minor in Dance, and she has experience on the Stephen F. Austin State University Pom Squad, including serving as captain one year and being a collegiate All-American one year, and dancing for the Dallas Sidekicks for two years and the Dallas Mavericks for one year. Director, Teacher, and Choreographer Samantha Harvey has been part of Dance Dimensions since 6th grade in 2000, danced on Rhythm Express and Rhythm Elite including the MA National Champion team in 2004, danced on the University of Texas at Tyler Pom squad for two seasons, graduated from UT Tyler with a Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, and teaches second grade at Jack Elementary in Tyler. Director, Teacher, and Choreographer Dallas Tobias took classes and competed for 12 years at Dance Dimensions, was a member of all four competition teams, won five different Nationals Titles from different competition circuits and dance styles, was a Varsity cheerleader for Van High School, was a member of the National Champion McLennan Community College Dance Company, was a three-year member of the Texas Woman’s University Pioneer Pride Dance Team, was an NDA Collegiate All-American, serves as Dance Captain for two years, works for the National Dance Alliance as a summer camp instructor, and is Director of the JV Golden Debs and Assistant Director for the Varsity Golden Debs Drill Team at Royse City High School. Staff member Rhodessa Bell is a Dallas Muscle Memory Dance Theatre Company Member, has a Dance/Kinesiology degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, was a four-year SFA Pom Squad member and SFA repertory company member, has professionally taught throughout the United States, Brazil, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and judges contest events and teaches for MA Dance and Auxiliaries. Additional leadership and office staff include Latrena Ramirez (Office Staff), Vivian Christian (Office Staff), and Tammy Harvey (Office Staff). Cassie Buchanan was part of the ballet program at Tyler Junior College, performed in The Nutcracker, and is an RN nurse working full time at UT Health Hospital in Tyler on the neurology floor.

Dance Dimensions notes community involvement by serving East Texas communities since 1995. The program’s credentials and awards include the MA National Champion team in 2004 for Rhythm Elite, a National Champion McLennan Community College Dance Company, and NDA Collegiate All-American recognition for staff member Dallas Tobias, as well as NDA All-American for two years and NDA National Champion both years for the McLennan Community College Dance Company as described in Jordan Wishart’s bio. Testimonials from parents and former students describe experiences with hard work, commitment, teamwork, discipline, family, and success, long-term participation such as a daughter dancing with Dance Dimensions for 14 years, and comments that the staff is wonderful, very open and parent- or visitor-friendly, patient with younger students, and “the best of the best studios out there.”
