Slumber Falls Camp & Retreat Center offers overnight and day camps and uses facilities that include cabins, meeting facilities, outdoor gathering areas, a swimming pool, a shower house, a basketball court, meeting cabins, a game room, and Bizer Retreat Center with meeting rooms, a kitchen area, and lodging. The dining and food preparation area, called Woelke Lodge, serves as the camp kitchen and has been remodeled for the first time since the original dining area was built in 1961. Since 1958, Slumber Falls Camp has offered a summer camping experience, with its first camping season in 1958. The dining and food preparation area was built in 1961, enclosed in 1964, and renamed Woelke Lodge in 1969, and the original swimming pool was built in 1963. Bizer Retreat Center was added in the 1980s, and the facilities can accommodate camps for kids of all ages, corporate events, family reunions, weddings, and more. For 65 years, Slumber Falls Camp was owned and operated by the South Central Conference of the United Church of Christ, and on September 1, 2023, Friends of Slumber Falls became the new owners of the property. The camp notes that it has more than 65 years of transforming lives and describes itself as a special place that is open to all. Since 1958, Slumber Falls has also been an integral part of the New Braunfels community.
