Academy of Dance offers classes in ballet, pointe, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and turns and leaps. The program also includes a competition team, a highly competitive competition team, and a dance company with yearly auditions. Students can audition for the dance company and perform in a yearly recital.

Academy of Dance is a fourth generation dance studio, established in 1985. The studio is described as a home away from home for dancers where they spend time training, building self-confidence, and nurturing life-long friendships. The program accepts ages 2 and up for classes and has several different programs depending on age and prior dance experience, with classes for any level dancer ranging from ages 2.5 to 18 years old. Its stated mission is to use dance to help students develop a strong self esteem while learning physically and mentally, with a focus on enriching lives through movement and music and a goal to create a positive and motivating environment where students can achieve their best through hard work and dedication. Teachers are educated in ballet terminology, have attended dance conventions, and have trained in all forms of dance for many years, and they focus on technique geared toward dancers’ goals.
Academy of Dance has an award winning, highly competitive competition team, and its company is composed of dancers ranging in ages from 6–18 who take extra classes year round. The company performs throughout the area and competes in at least one competition per year.
