Rise Martial Arts

Rise Martial Arts offers Tiger Program (Preschool Karate), Dragon Program (Junior Karate), Foundation Program (Kids Karate), Warrior Program, Teen Martial Arts / Teen Karate, Adult Martial Arts / Adult Karate, School-Age Kids Karate Camp / Summer Camp, and an Instructor Program. Classes are organized by age group, and students attend any two classes per week and may come to any available class times for their age and level. The first class is free, and no experience or uniform is required.

About the provider

Rise Martial Arts has served Pflugerville since 1999 and has been family-led since 2005. Three generations of the Barkley family teach side by side. David Barkley serves as Head Instructor and Program Director, and his sons Ethan and Blake teach alongside him. The program states that it exists to help students become more capable through structured martial arts training.

No separate belt testing fees. No term contracts. Belt advancement is handled through training and instructor evaluation, not a separate paid testing event. Camp does not include belt promotions.
