Gotta Dance offers classes in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, and fusion, as well as adult classes. The program presents dance as a way to experience the joy of dance for all ages and offers classes for everyone. The owner of Gotta Dance is Cindi Lawrence Hanson, who is also the Director of Plano Metropolitan Ballet and has held the position of artistic director of Plano Metropolitan Ballet since 1998. Cindi has been owner of Gotta Dance and Director of Plano Metropolitan Ballet for nearly 30 years and graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Instructor Gabrielle received her Associate of the Arts from Collin College and is completing a Bachelor of Science in Disability Studies in Movement Science at the University of Texas at Austin. Stacy graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Sydney received her ABT Curriculum certification for levels pre-primary through level 5.
Plano Metropolitan Ballet, the school’s sister ballet company, is a premier nonprofit ballet company in Plano, Texas, founded in 1987. Plano Metropolitan Ballet puts on performances in Plano, Texas, every year, brings in instructors to give master classes, and features guest artists who provide inspiration to company members. The school’s dance company, the Plano Metropolitan Ballet, is described as a well-regarded asset to the community.
