Camp Marlin offers themed weeks that include activities such as Discovering Dinosaurs and an Amazing Race Around the World. The camp features weekly themes that range from exploring dinosaurs to competing in an Amazing Race-style experience.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Week-long camp sessions held for one week during spring break and 8 weeks during the summer; camp hours are from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
• Price: The weekly fee for Camp Marlin is $200.00 for the first student and $100.00 for each additional student in the same household; financial aid is available for those who qualify.
Camp Marlin seeks to Strengthen Bodies, Encourage Curiosity, and Inspire Imagination. The leadership team includes Ken Yarbrough (Youth Program Coordinator and Recreation Program Coordinator), Elizabeth Pape (Site Coordinator), Colleen Simpson (Parks & Recreation Director), and Kristina Stevens (Community Program Coordinator). Additional listed staff include beach staff Joey Farah (Surf Rescue Manager), Camerson Ainsworth (Head Beach Lifeguard), Ford Blaylock (Head Beach Lifeguard), and Cailey Yomoah (Head Beach Lifeguard); pool staff Adam Johnson (Pool Manager) and Christina Cannon (Assistant Pool Manager); grounds staff David Lown (Supervisor); and nature preserve staff Rae Mooney (Nature Preserve Manager) and Justin Quintanilla (Natural Resource Specialist). All Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Programs are not licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (Child Care Licensing).
