WinShape Camps for Communities Day Camp offers a full day of structured activities that include Rec, Team Time, Village Rally and Snack City, Skill 1, Lunch, Worship, Skill 2, and Power Surge. Campers take part in age-specific activities that can include science, crafts, epic competition, outdoor adventure, daily worship, music, prayer, and devotions. During the week, campers may shoot an arrow, climb a rock wall, play basketball, sing songs, read their Bible, row a canoe, and toast a marshmallow.

WinShape Camps for Communities Day Camp runs on a one-week session format. The daily schedule includes check-in and Village Training at 8:15 am, followed by Wake Up!, Rec, Team Time, Village Rally and Snack City, Skill 1, Village Rally, Lunch, Worship, more Team Time, another Village Rally and Snack City, Skill 2, Village Rally, Power Surge, and check-out at 5:00 pm. Families provide lunch each day, and the program provides snacks, with meals and snack times noted as nut free and with limited nut exposure requested, including no peanuts, peanut products, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, pistachios, or Brazil nuts.
Summer Staff at WinShape Camps for Communities Day Camp go through an extensive application process and a 30-minute face-to-face interview before being hired. After receiving a job offer, all Summer Staff complete a background check and safety training and then participate in a week of intentional development from experts. Over 800 professionally trained Summer Staff representing 100 different colleges and universities from more than 30 states work at WinShape Camps.
For the last 40 summers, WinShape has created camps, and WinShape Camps launched its first overnight camp in 1985 on the campus of Berry College in Rome, Georgia. WinShape Camps now offers overnight camp, family camp, and day camp experiences, including four overnight camp experiences in Georgia and more than 75 day camp experiences across the United States. Over 30,000 campers engage with WinShape Camps each summer.
WinShape Camps’ mission is to glorify God by creating experiences that transform campers and families with the message of Jesus Christ. Every moment of the day at WinShape Camps for Communities Day Camp is described as intentionally designed to give campers a camp experience centered on Bible-based teaching about Jesus, with every summer featuring a new theme to teach daily truths. Camp content is described as age-specific, with a wide variety of skills and a refreshed experience every year, and the program notes that camp is a place where fun, friendships, and the message of Jesus and His Word are central.
WinShape Camps can be found in over 75 communities around the country, and WinShape Camps International works with local churches and communities in Brazil and Costa Rica to execute locally led day camp experiences during the spring and summer. At the end of the week at WinShape Camps for Communities Day Camp, there is a day of fun for the whole family that includes a Chick-fil-A family lunch on Friday.
