About
UMOS Migrant and Seasonal Head Start offers early childhood care and education services. The program serves children of seasonal agricultural workers under five years of age in more than 30 centers across rural communities in Wisconsin, Missouri, and Texas. UMOS offers early childhood care and education services that meet the specific needs of migrant and seasonal farmworker families and facilitate school readiness.

UMOS Migrant and Seasonal Head Start is part of UMOS, a multi-state nonprofit that empowers individuals, families, and communities through integrated workforce, education, and social services. UMOS provides holistic, wrap-around social services that complement its Child Development and Workforce divisions, and it provides educational, vocational, and supportive services to seasonal agricultural workers to increase their skills, credentials, and earnings. UMOS offers culturally and linguistically responsive services to survivors of domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, and administers the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program and a Food Pantry that provides up to 140 pounds of food and has distributed formula and diapers to new parents. In 1965, UMOS was formed by community and faith leaders. UMOS is an Equal Opportunity Service Provider and Employer.
