Alamo Gymnastics Center

Alamo Gymnastics Center offers gymnastics and tumbling through preschool classes, girls' classes, boys' classes, tumbling classes, Open Gym, Day & Holiday Camps, Alamo camps, and adult open gym. The program uses equipment for both gymnastics and tumbling activities.

• Schedule: Classes operate on a schedule that includes at least Monday sessions, with notice that on Monday 26th classes run as usual.

Alamo Gymnastics Center was founded in 1998 and began operations in April 1998. The program states a mission of inspiring and nurturing the unique potential of every gymnast through top-tier training in a positive and supportive setting, with a focus on developing well-rounded, confident, and emotionally balanced individuals and promoting excellence and personal growth. The center notes that it actively contributes to and engages with its community.

The facility is described as an upgraded gym with a competitive TNT trampoline, two rod floors, and boys’, girls’, and tumbling equipment for high-level competitive gymnastics, with all equipment able to be dismounted into a giant foam pit. It is described as one of San Antonio’s most well-equipped gymnastics schools, with expert coaches and top-notch facilities.

The program reports that its gymnasts have earned top positions in local, state, regional, and national competitions, and that many athletes have advanced to NCAA gymnastics at eight major universities. Four athletes have earned NCAA All American honors, and two alumni have been part of NCAA teams that won National Championships. Two Alamo Gymnastics Center alumni were finalists for the Nissen-Emery Award, with one selected by coaches and fellow gymnasts as the top NCAA gymnast in the United States.
