About

LeafSpring School at Sonterra offers year-round programming that includes innovative curriculums, after-school care, and extensive summer camp options such as Camp Little Cloud and Camp Blue Sky. Children spend their days learning through play in primary care groups, and summer camp programs offer children of all ages a chance to play, explore new friendships, and have adventures each week. Parents can see their children during the day through a kidsapp where teachers upload pictures and activities, as described in a parent testimonial.

• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 am to 6:30 pm

LeafSpring School has been the standard of excellence in early education for over 35 years. At LeafSpring School, teachers and nurses partner with families to promote the success of each child. Once a family becomes a part of LeafSpring School, they join a community of families and educators who partner for each child’s success.

The campus includes intentionally designed learning spaces to encourage growth, exploration, and time outside the classroom. The Get Well Place provides backup care for mildly ill children with common childhood ailments such as colds, flu, and stomach bugs, and is staffed by licensed nurses. Nurses provide care for children enrolled in LeafSpring School with chronic or unique needs, and school nurses prioritize children’s overall health in the school while focusing on wellness, health, and peace of mind.

The school is staffed by licensed nurses and a team of highly trained educators. LeafSpring School at Sonterra holds NAEYC Accreditation and participates in Texas Rising Star, and LeafSpring School has been recognized by several accrediting bodies for its overall excellence. The program follows a progressive curriculum where classroom advancements occur once annually at the start of a new school year.

Parent testimonials describe staff and administration as welcoming and helpful, and mention specific appreciation for teachers and the Get Well Place. One parent notes choosing the school because of its NAEYC accreditation and the smaller student-to-teacher ratios that come with it, and also mentions being able to see their children during the day through the kidsapp. Another parent describes using the daycare, after-school program, and Get Well Place multiple times and highlights the presence of an RN on site during the day. A foster parent shares that their child enjoys attending and often wants to stay until closing, and mentions that staff coordinate with the child’s counselors and support behavior.
