Magik Theatre Camps and Classes offers camps and classes where kids and teens can explore, create, and rule the stage. As a center for creativity, the program focuses on theatre experiences for children and their families that are literature-based and professional. The program is part of Magik Theatre, which has been providing theatre and education since 1994.
• Schedule: Box Office Hours Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; in the event of a Friday evening performance, the box office stays open until 8:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday the box office opens an hour before showtime if there is a weekend performance; Administrative Office Hours Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Magik Theatre’s mission is to create theatrical experiences that ignite imagination, spark curiosity, inspire empathy, and foster a lifetime love of learning in young people. The organization offers Sensory-Friendly, Pay What You Wish, and American Sign Language interpreted performances for each production. Through its productions, programs, and internal culture, Magik Theatre states a commitment to reflect and celebrate the diversity of the communities it serves, and its commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Supremacy (IDEAS) is central to its work.
Magik Theatre also shares a detailed land acknowledgement, recognizing that it operates on the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Coahuiltecan Peoples, including the Tāp Pīlam Coahuiltecan Nation and its affiliated bands and clans, as well as the Plains Jumanos People, the Tonkawa People (Tickanwa-tic), the Lipan Apache of Texas People (Ndé Kónitsąąíí Gokíyaa), and the Comanche People (Nermernuh). The organization states that Land Acknowledgement is a first step in building good relations with the land and Indigenous Peoples and expresses a commitment to continue learning about the land, its Indigenous Peoples, and ways to further support them.
