Parents and guardians have shared detailed feedback about their children’s experiences. Alessandro Preto described it as an “amazing camp for kids to work on their skills 1v1 with two amazing coaches that were able to relate to our kids and keep everyone engaged and having fun at the same time.” Emily Culver said, “Coach George is such a great coach. He is always positive and eager to help all the kids succeed. The camp was a fun and wonderful experience where my son learned new skills and made new friends.” Monica Vassiliadis shared that her son “came out happy every single day” and felt his skills improved and that he wanted to do the camp again. Michael Travis noted that his son “had a blast and learned a lot” and that “everything was well organized and the coaches were wonderful.” Monica Van Guilder said her daughter “had a great time learning new skills and improving what she does know of the sport” and came home “a little bit more confident in her capabilities and made new friends.”
Other families highlighted specific details about coaching and organization. Nicole Whitsett said her son “always comes away feeling like he learned a lot and worked hard” and that at the end of camp “he feels a real sense of” accomplishment. Jen Jacobs Bolger said, “Coaches Duban and Cristian were awesome and made camp really fun as well as my son learned a lot. The facilities at Stevenson were fantastic. Highly recommend.” Cristina Kane-Latour shared that her son, as a beginner, was “engaged and enthusiastic about learning new skills” at the Nike Summer Camp at TWU. Jen Kalen noted that “convenience and price were worth it alone” and that her daughter appreciated “all the places the coaches have played and are going to play, their interaction with her and” their engagement. Robbie Burnett reported that his son “loved this camp and rated [it] #1 out of the 4 summer camps he attended this year” and that he wanted to return the next year.
Several parents and grandparents commented on skill development and structure. Kevin Tempral said his son “had an amazing experience working out with the coaches, running drills and making new friends.” Natalie Cooper stated, “I think the camp, the organization, the skills, the drills, the lessons, and the director and entire coaching staff was AMAZING!! My son gained so many great fundamental skills while also having so” much fun. Jocelyn Hawkins shared that her daughter was “very happy how much her chipping skills and other components of her short game improved” and that two days after camp she “came in second at a Drive, Chip and Putt qualifier match.” Kriss Robbins said, “This camp was very organized. My Granddaughter had a great time and learned alot. Thank you Tyla and coaches for a great experience.” Heather Bonner appreciated “the enthusiasm of the coaches and how they made it mandatory that all players were cheer on and encourage each other,” and said they “taught great life skills and sportsmanship.”
Additional feedback mentions specific coaching approaches. Teri Ellis said her son Chandler attended the Nike Elite Camp under Coach Wendell Davis, where he “learned a lot, met a lot of new friends and most importantly had fun,” and that “the coaches were great and were so” supportive. Onawa Tucker described it as “a super experience” for their 8th grader, noting that Keia “was moved up from her age group and played with the HS girls” and that “coaches were all knowledgeable, professional, and joined in the drills with the kids.” Amanda Hinton highlighted “the one on one with specialized coaches that matched my son’s position on the team,” saying they “taught new drills to hone his skills and he loved hearing the coaches stories.”
