Alamo Area Council Scouting Programs

Alamo Area Council Scouting Programs operates through the Alamo Area Council Service Center, the Musselman Scout Shop located inside the Service Center, and Alamo Area Council camp properties. The program offers access to Adventure Boxes that include a Year-at-a-Glance Planning Sheet and a one-page yearly planning guide with QR codes linking to resources. All Alamo Area Council camping properties have successfully met the requirements for Texas State Licensing.

• Schedule: The Alamo Area Council Service Center is open Monday–Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a full staff meeting closure on the second Thursday of March, May, September, and November from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm; the Musselman Scout Shop is open Monday–Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and camps are closed every Monday and Tuesday.

The program offers a Military Family Fee Waiver that waives the $85 National Youth Registration Fee for eligible youth from Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard families through an online verification process during registration. The Alamo Area Council follows the emergency closures of NEISD as its inclement weather plan.
