About

The Little Gym offers gymnastics, tumbling, balancing, climbing, movement-based learning, and imaginative play in a kid’s gymnastics gym. The gyms are described as safe spaces for children and parents to explore gymnastics and more.

• Ages: 4 months–12 years old

The Little Gym was founded in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington, by Robin Wes, an innovative educator, musician, and kinesiologist. Over forty-five years later, children experience The Little Gym in more than 300 locations worldwide. The program uses a Three-Dimensional Learning philosophy that focuses on Get Moving, Brain Boost, and Citizen Kid. Programs include Parent Survival Night, kids’ birthday parties, and camps that are described as educational and fun. The Little Gym is part of Unleashed Brands.

The stated mission is that for children ages 4 months to 12 years and their parents, The Little Gym gymnastics programs help children learn and grow through movement and imaginative play, and that the gyms are safe spaces for both children and parents to explore gymnastics and more. The mission also states that at The Little Gym, children build the confidence and skills needed at each stage of childhood while parents enjoy a supportive and positive community, and that everyone has “Serious Fun!”

Through its Big Hearts philanthropic and sustainability program, The Little Gym looks for simple and effective ways it can positively impact communities to support safe and healthy places for children to live and grow. Parent feedback includes comments such as, “We love Little Gym, my kid is there since he was 4 months old and now he is almost 4 years! He enjoys it!” from Adriana Quintana, and “Coach Heaven is one of Isla's favorite teachers. She enjoys coming every week! Lots of progress made since she started and look forward to seeing her continue to get better.” from Michelle Trotter. Another parent, Justin Querry, shared, “Great fist experience with the gym!”
