Guiding Hands Christian Academy & Childcare

Guiding Hands Christian Academy & Childcare offers hands-on learning for all ages using the Conscious Discipline and Frog Street curriculums. The program includes field trips twice a week, with a focus on keeping school-age children engaged and excited about summertime through these outings. The team participates in a year-long course called The Conscious Classroom.

Ms. Kathy is the owner of Guiding Hands Christian Academy & Childcare and opened Guiding Hands Christian Academy in Sanger in December of 2014. The program’s mission states that its primary purpose is to provide an environment where God's love can be shown to each person who enters, to provide an interactive curriculum for all ages, and to strive to develop a positive self-image for every child. The mission also states that children are taught how to deal with very large emotions they feel on an everyday basis and that self-regulation is considered very important as the child grows up. The program describes safety and security as being of utmost importance for infants, follows each infant’s individual schedule, and offers a toddler program that encourages exploration and security. Preschoolers use the Frog Street Curriculum to learn social and emotional skills as well as math and literacy, and the after school program includes homework help. The program identifies its Christian environment and core values as Connection, Learning, Compassion, Fun, and Integrity. Guiding Hands Christian Academy & Childcare has been featured in the book “Happiness Guide for Early Childhood Educators” by Brian Duprey and Kris Murray.
