Youth & Teen Cooking Classes offers interactive cooking classes where kids and teens work at shared work stations to craft a 4 or 5-course meal. The program provides all equipment and ingredients on-site and is guided by a talented chef host. The same kitchen also hosts kids’ birthday parties, field trips, private kids’ classes, adult cooking classes, private parties, team-building events, date night classes, friends and family classes, and team building classes.

Cooking With A Twist, which runs Youth & Teen Cooking Classes, was founded in 2015 by award-winning chef Dee Dee Coleman. Chef Dee Dee Coleman owns the program, and Deja Owens serves as Office Manager. The mission of Cooking With A Twist states that cooking should be a delightfully entertaining experience. Cooking With A Twist has been featured on ABC’s The Chew, KHOU’s Great Day Houston, CW39 NewsFix, Channel 13’s Crossroads, Majic 102.1, the Houston Chronicle, Fox 26 Houston, and CW39’s Morning Dose. Chef Dee Dee Coleman’s batter swept all five categories of the HEB & NZURI sponsored Top Chef Competition in December 2013, and she was an HEB 2014 Primo Picks Quest for Texas Best 25 finalist out of over 600 contestants. Chef DeeDee has participated in chef events to raise money for non-profits including The Ronald McDonald House, The American Heart Association, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The program’s unique features include the phrase “Everybody is a Chef,” fun and interactive Cooking With A Twist cooking classes, all adult classes being BYOB, and award-winning Red Velvet Waffles, and Carla Hall has hosted two cooking classes there.
